How to enable battery gadget?

Hi!

When I bought my laptop, battery widget was enabled (see the image). Now all of a sudden it has disappeared. I searched a lot for setting related to this in lenovo apps (lenovo companion and lenovo settings on windows 10) and also on the internet but nothing fruitful. Please help me out with this.

Thanks!

Re: How to enable battery gadget?

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

For some reason the switch to turn on the Battery Icon in the Task Bar is well hidden.  To find it open Lenovo Settings.  Then on the left side menu click on the icon that looks to me like the Sun near the bottom of the list.  An About & Settings box will open and in that box will be the option to turn on the Lenovo Battery Guage icon.

Re: How to enable battery gadget?

Thanks for the help.

This solution worked previously. But now again the battery icon is gone. The Lenovo settings app says that it merged with the Lenovo companion app and in companion app, I can't find the option of enabling battery icon.

Please help! How to enable the battery icon now?

Re: How to enable battery gadget?

First, if you still have Lenovo Setting installed, uninstall it and reboot.

Secondly, with the new Lenovo Companion, the switch for the Battery Gauge can be found by selecting Hardware Settings in the left side menu.  Then select the Power button on the next screen on the upper right side.  That will open the Power screen and the Battery Gauge switch will be on the upper right side of that screen.

Re: How to enable battery gadget?

An update........  My one laptop was just upgraded to version 4.8.75 of Lenovo Companion.   I see the location of the Battery Gauge switch has been moved on the latest version.  You still select the Hardware Settings and then the Power Button, but the Battery Gauge switch is now at the bottom of the Power screen.

Re: How to enable battery gadget?

Hi..

Thanks for quick reply. But the problem is not solved for me still yet. I opened hardware settings > power, but I couldn't find the battery gauge switch. See the screenshot attached.

I checked in the microsoft store, but no update is available yet. Version number of Companion app on my laptop is 4.5.3.0.

Re: How to enable battery gadget?

Have you tried uninstalling Lenovo Companion, reboot and then install a fresh copy from the Windows Store?  That might resolve the issue of the missing Battery Gauge switch.
