How to fix the Fn keys disabled on my G560

I have no idea what I did to my G560 and appear to have disabled the function keys on it.

And while this has happened my trackpad was somehow enabled, and I don't make use of it.

The steps below teach you to reinstall the hotkeys driver (for the fn keys to work) that is embedded in Lenvoo Energyment. It solved one of the community user's problem and hope it solves yours too.

To adjust trackpad and reenable the use of the function keys:

  1. Open Control Panel / Uninstall a Program, look for Lenovo Energy Management / Lenovo Power Management and uninstall it.  If you cannot locate this on your laptop, go to Step 2.

  2. Download and install the Application Below according to your Operating system.

    Windows 7
    64 bit Lenovo Energy Management
    32 bit
    Lenovo Energy Management

    Windows 8
    Lenovo Energy Management

  3. Once you have done the above, that is,installed Energy Management, you will regain the use of the FN toggle.

Note: To enable or disable the touchpad, press on Fn+F6.
