Hi andyholmes196 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Where do you set booting previously and current preferred setting ?

While turned off , use the One key button (item 4 page 92) to access the Novo menu screen and choose BIOS set up.

Boot tab would offer Boot device priority once UEFI is disabled making EFI active , changing priority then save and exit. BIOS simulator here.

Re: IDEAPAD G580 - Selecting boot device

Use the "Novo Button" to power up the notebook computer. It is located to the right of the power button and has a "^" symbol on it.

When you press it to start the computer, it will give you a list of options, including one to enter BIOS.

Good luck.

Ugh... Slow inernet connection today - FiOS is having issues it would seem.... Sorry for the double posting, repeating what Spidey said....

If getting into BIOS works, but you can not change any options, try defaulting the biois:

  • Turn off notebook completely
  • Remove main battery
  • Remove (unplug) AC adapter from notebook, wall outlet.
  • Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds
  • re-install battery, connect AC adapter.
  • Power up using "Novo" button to enter BIOS
  • Use function keys to "Set Defaults" then "Save and Exit" - computer will restart.
  • Try to enter BIOS using f2 at start up (have to be really quick on it)
  • Try to enter BIOS using "Novo" button option

Post back with results...
