Is the CD burner meant to make noise letting me know its burning a CD?

2021-04-12, 8:47 AM

I see a light flash on off green but Cd burner sounds quiet when I asked to burn something, is this normal?

Hi lenovoman123,

If you have tested the CD after burning, and it turned out well, then all aspect of your DVD is operational and it should not be something you should be concerned about.

Typically, when a disk is on process of burning, the hardware would require great amount of strain than reading any disk.

Hello lenovoman123,

Thank you for posting in this board.

We'd like to know how was the CD when you tried to test it after burning?

If it's not working then initially you may have to use an optical drive cleaner initially and likewise see if a bootable CD/DVD also works on the initial start after powering.

Update us when convenient.

Regards.

The CD/DVD is working. How can you tell if the CD/DVD is burning something? Is there meant to be a noise?
