I have a Lenovo Ideapad G510 and I want to upgrade memory.
Actually I have a Samsung DDR3 4GB 1600 MHz 1Rx8 PC3L- 12800S - 11 -13 -B4
A have a free slot. I found this: Samsung DDR3 4GB 1600 MHz 2Rx8 PC3 - 12800S - 11 -10 -F2
Does my laptop support also PC3 and 2Rx8 memory? Can I send the order?
Thank you for answering.

The answer is "maybe". Your machine uses low-voltage PC3L memory (1.35V). The other stick is PC3, which is 1.5V memory. Some 1.5V memory will work at 1.35V and some will not. You would need to try the individual stick. (All 1.35V PC3L memory will work at either 1.35V or 1.5V).

I expect that will be fine. Whenever people buy memory other than the memory sold by Lenovo, I always suggest confirming the seller's return policy. Most sticks are compatible, but occasionally they are not.

It's not the computer. It's the memory. All 4th gen and higher machines with DDR3 memory run the memory at 1.35V. Some sticks that say 1.5V or PC3 or DDR3 (not PC3L or DDR3L) will also run fine at 1.35V. If the stick will run at 1.35V it is OK. A mixture is OK.

I always buy 1.35V. It will work in either type of machine.
