LENOVO B50-30 Unusable

2019-09-08, 12:27 PM

Hello everyone, I own a B50-30 laptop and I decided to do some updates yesterday.

I installed the latest BIOS version from HERE and after I rebooted, Windows 7 wouldn't start unless I unplugged my external HDD and plugged it in during the "Starting Windows" screen. Some time later, the keyboard and trackpad stopped working (only external mouse works) and I can't even access the BIOS now. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, using the drivers from the product page but nothing. There is a warning sign next to the touchpad in device manager btw...

NOTE: WINDOWS IS INSTALLED ON MY SSD AND NOT THE eHDD AND I EVEN MADE SURE TO DO THE BCDBOOT COMMAND

Hi TrollyX,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I apologize for the late reply. Kindly let me know if you are still having this issue.

Have you tried checking for the BOOT ORDER in the BIOS menu?

This may be the reason why you are having issues.

Regards,

Jack_Lenovo1
