LENOVO G40-70 RESTART LOOP

HI

the laptop keeps restarting it shows the lenovo logo and restart 

it only happns with an ssd drive... with a regiler hd it boots to the windows

if i shutdown windows with the ssd it boots up regiler

i have tried diffrent bios settings and no go... 

does the ssd simply to fast for the system Smiley Tongue

help please

Hi Topsi,

 

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

 

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with system restarting.

 

       Try to reset the BIOS to default and check for the issue.

  • Now access the BIOS menu press F2 when the Lenovo logo appears on the screen while the computer is starting up.
  • Then to reset the BIOS to its defaults click on “F9” Key and select YES.
  • Now Click on “F10” Key to safe the changes that are done in BIOS, restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

i have alredy tried bios defults and other optins 

i have also updated the bios but still the same issue 

its a client laptop and its a first time that i dont ( and google) know how to fix the problom

Thanks for the reply,

 

As you have mentioned that the issue still persist after loading the BIOS to default, also you have mentioned that the issue persists in SSD, please update the firmware of the SSD from the manufacturer site and check for the issue.
