LENOVO G40-80 | Access Advanced tab into BIOS

Hi guys,

 

I'm testing a new hardware and need access the Advanced tab into BIOS (InsydeH20 Rev. 5.0) for some modifications.

What are the combination keys to access it?

 

I cannot find the information in the manual.

Hi ChesterNut999,

 

Apologies for the late reply.

 

You may check the support site by entering your machine serial number (go to Drivers and Software > Manual Update), and see if the current BIOS version of your machine matches the recommended BIOS version uploaded on the support page.

 

If current BIOS version does not offer the Advance Tab menu, then it is expected as intended.

 

All configurations are defaulted to how the BIOS and controllers intended it to work automatically.

 

Modding the BIOS itself is not recommended for risk of bricking the machine.

Greetings.

 

The Advanced Tab in the BIOS is a feature that may be available on other models and on different BIOS versions.

 

You may try to check your machine's current BIOS version matches the one recommended in the support site. Once on the support page, enter your machine serial number to load the correct drivers, go to Drivers and Software tab, click on the Manual update then check-compare the BIOS drivers.

 

Also, please try to share your machine type model / MTM (ex: 81DE000KUS) from the sticker as it would help us find detail on the specifications of your machine variant,

Yes. The same version.

 

Also, may we know the reason why would you like to access an Advanced tab on BIOS?

I am testing some hardwares and this laptop is my "test table". It is not an upgrade or anything ... I need to check performance with other settings.

In general these are some parts and adapters that I bought from China.
