Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

The G50-80 has two memory slots.  Each slot can support up to a 8 GB module for a total of 16 GBs.

For additional specifications please see page #26 of the G50-80's Hardware Maintenance Manual which can be found at the link below......

Thanks a lot.

Other question about it: speed eth controller. Is it 10/100 mbs or 100/1000 gigabit?

In the manual you linked is reported 10/100/1000 but, since it is generic for many models, I want to be sure about it. I saw the notebook in a shop and eth port is not metal shielded, which is usually a standard feature for 1000 gb port.....that's the reason of my doubt.

Thanks again

Unfortunately I do not have a definite answer for you on the ethernet speed.  In viewing the documentation I have for G50-80  80E501xxxxxxx models being sold in U.S. and Canada it is showing that the ethernet is 100/1000 M.  That maybe different for models sold in your country as the generic specifications for the G50-80 lists the ethernet as either 10/100 M or 100/1000 M.  I would suggest you contact Lenovo Sales in your country for a more definitive answer.  Sorry!

For your reference here the Product Specifation page I was reviewing......

Click on "Specifications" for additional information.

It is SATA 3.  The controller's specifications are listed in that previous PSREF link I gave you. That specification should be standard regardless of the country the laptop is sold in.

Are you sue? In that link it is reported SATA 3gb/s which is SATA 2.
But I know Intel chipset for i5 processor supports SATA 3 (6 GB/s).
That's why I asked.....

My error and my apologies.  You are correct with the SATA 2 and 3 GB/s.  When I looked it up earlier today I just saw the "3" and replied.  It didn't dawn on me that the "3"  was the transfer speed until you mentioned it.  That said,  I believe you are looking at SATA 2 regardless of the country where the computer is sold.  Once again my apologies.

Don't worry.....but.....

I also checked the first PDF you Linked, the maintenance guide......there it is reported SATA 3.0 6gb/s....under G50-70 specs.....

Maybe "6" character si missing in second link.....I start thinking this because it has not much sense 3.0gb/s. Much more sense 3gb/s if really SATA 2 or 3.0 6gb/s if 6 character miss ed. Sorry for my english, not my motherlanguage and explanation maybe is confused. Hope I explained my thought.

What you think about it?

You maybe right about the missing information.  I would suggest calling Lenovo Sales in your country to see if they can verify it one way or another.
