Re: LENOVO G500 , can't access to boot menu or bios

Hi stelamion ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Did you try using the Novo Button (item5 page 77) while the pc if turned off (instead of using the power button )?

This should load up a different screen outside Windows offering Novo Menu for accessing the BIOS.

Try doing it without the harddrive to verify if the BIOS is still viable.

How far would it go?

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: LENOVO G500 , can't access to boot menu or bios

Hi stelamion ,

What is shown onscreen when you turn it on without the harddrive?

Would you have a captured shot?

Would there be any lights or indicators on the laptop when you use the Novo Button to turn on the pc.

The Novo accesss menu works outside Windows , absence of BIOS access may signify either BIOS firmware issue or board level problems.

Would you be able to slave the harddrive on a different computer to verify if harddrive is still readable?

Update us as it goes.

Regards
