Re: Lenovo B50 30 FreeDOS Windows blue screen error when loading

See if ms KB3088195 update is installed. If so, here's an explanation of the possible causes of BSOD and decision

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/IG20151 022-001

Also,

The solution is this...

May be you are getting the ACPI Error like this...

Link to image

Step 1: Shut down your Laptop.

Step 2: Find the small NOVO button on Left side of your Laptop near the Power cord Point. Press the button. The System loads Boot Options..

Step 3: Click on the BIOs Setup Option. A Blue screen menu appears use arrow keys to navigate to Exit option and select

OS optimized Defaults to Win 7 ( The Default is Windows 8 64 Bit)

Step 4: If you are about to Install a Fresh Copy of Windows 7 Then Goto Configuration Tab and Change

USB Mode to USB 2.0 (Original may be USB 3.0)

In case you are already Running Windows 7 and the Problem was caused by Updating Your BIOS then

Then rest the Bios by using the option given in the Status Bar.

Step 5:  Goto Exit and Select Exit Saving Changes. Select Yes

The problem should be gone. And if it doesn’t... Be Patient. Open BIOS Settings again and tweak around... Boot Mode or Boot Priority etc.

Update us how it goes.

Re: Lenovo B50 30 FreeDOS Windows blue screen error when loading

Berkay, “0x000000A5" error message typically indicates that the computer BIOS is incompatible with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard that is supported in Windows 7. However, this error can also occur because the computer hardware, the peripherals, or the drivers for those devices are incompatible with Windows 7.

Update to the latest BIOS.

Re: Lenovo B50 30 FreeDOS Windows blue screen error when loading

  1. Unplug AC adapter (remove from notebook).
  2. Remove main battery
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (power drain)
  4. Replace main battery
  5. Replace AC adapter

If its doesnt start, I would recommend you to contact Lenovo service center and report your findings.
