Lenovo B570 Boot-Loop

2013-12-13, 0:11 AM

Hi

So I have a Lenovo B570 laptop that I got just over a year ago. My laptop will start up, and show the little *Lenovo* logo, then go to the *Starting Windows* screen. It takes a few seconds to start the animation, and once it starts, it'll stop, flash a blue screen with a bunch of numbers/letters, and show the *Lenovo* logo again. This time, it'll give me the choice to do a Startup Repair or start Windows normally. If I select start normally, it does the same blue screen thing. If I do Startup repair, it'll start it, then form 5 minutes to 2 hours later it'll say, "Windows couldn't fix the problem." It asks me click finish, and then the whole startup-blue-screen-startup-loop-thing.

Now, this problem has happened before, and my uncle was able to fix it, but he moved. Please help :smileysad:

Hi Gosraj,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that your B570 Laptop is displaying Blue screen error when the computer is turn ON, I suggest you to perform the Flee-Power and BIOS reset. Below are the steps to check and resolve the issue:

  • Remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer.
  • Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and try to turn ON the computer.
  • If the issue persists even after performing Flee Power then resetting BIOS to its defaults should resolve the issue.
  • Now access the BIOS menu press F2 when the Lenovo logo appears on the screen while the computer is starting up.
  • Then to reset the BIOS to its defaults click on “F9” Key and select YES.
  • Now Click on “F10” Key to safe the changes that are done in BIOS, restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Hope this helps!!!

Do post us back for further queries.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

After a few seconds, the logo disappear but the loading circle won't. Here's the problem, i've waited about 10 mins and nothing happened. Please help, ASAP. Thank you!

To enter bios you need to shut down the notebook and use the "novo" button, not the power button, to start it up. You should see a screen that gives you options for recovery, repair and enter bios.

If you can not find your "novo" button, there is a user manual on the Support portion of this website that will show you where it is on your machine. For instance - on my G580 it is next to the power button, smaller and with a ^ symbol on it. With my Yoga 900s it is on the right side, near the power button, but a smaller indented button.

Again - use that button, not the power button to turn on the notebook.

Good luck.
