Lenovo B575e upgrade (RAM limitation)

2021-07-20, 6:28 AM

Hello forum

I want to upgrade the RAM on my B575e, it only has 1 RAM slot.

But unfortunately in the specifications I could not find information about the maximum supported memory size.

I'm going to buy 8GB of RAM, please help me determine if it is supported or not.

PS: stock configuration, nothing has been replaced

Hi @Solozon3

Checking on the product specification sheet for Lenovo B575e, it details that the unit has 4GB max memory / PC3-10600 1333MHz DDR3, non-parity, and one 204-pin SO-DIMM socket.

However, the system may support more memory as the technology develops and this is confirmed by other certified resellers, like Crucial, which confirms 8GB can be the maximum memory of B575e.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
Dex

Serial No: xxxxxxxxxx

Seacrh by S/N (on https://pcsupport.lenovo.com) says that:

  B575e Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 3685

msinfo32 says that:

  Model: 20189

Mod edit:  Removed serial number to prevent abuse.

Thank you all, everything worked out.

I bought 8 GB memory from AMD (R538G1601S2S-U) - it fit perfectly and was detected by the system.

Perhaps I did not test much, but there are no problems yet

OS: Win 10 x64
