Lenovo B590 Screen issues

I have been having issues with the screen on a B590 Laptop for while, where it would get strange visuals, like every otherline would be washed out, or it would have horizontal bars.  And it would need something pressed against the bottom right of the screen to look normal.  The issues happen during the bootup screen before windows as well.

While ordering a replacement panel for screen I was advised that the cable might be the faulty part and that a panel would likely do nothing, seeing as when the panel was removed from the bezel with the ribbon cable in a slack position it worked fine.  If necessary is the display cable/ribbon connector for this laptop, B590 with a 1366x768 display and model 20208, available?

Welcome to the Community Forums. 

 

Checking on the positioning of pressure on the bottom of the screen and the LCD cable (page76) , shows probable point of issue that can warrant testing of the cable first before the actual panel. 

 

Using your serial number you can check if for the part number of the LCD cable from the parts look up page.

Check from lenovo encompass for availability (phone 866.779.0021).

The cable I am looking for is Part k on page 86 but unlike all other parts on the page it does not an FRU or FRU number.

I was also checking it on parts look up but generic machine number gives a zero search as SN is needed. 

You may private message me if needed. Likewise you may recheck for the same sticker label from your LCD cable and see if its separate from the right antenna assembly as per manual.
