I had set up Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit on my Lenovo B590 laptop but when I ran the Windows Camera app and Skype I had the error message:"To get started, connect a camera"
There is a possibility that this error occurred as a result of the driver for your system's camera being overwritten, or not installed during the upgrade to Windows 8.1.
Our community member experienced success with the following workaround:
If the camera is successfully detected, try opening Skype or the Windws Camera App and observe.
