Re: Lenovo D drive completely empty after update to Windows 8.1

So I had a Dolby drivers issue after the update to Windows 8.1 ... checked the forums here for a solution, followed the steps and unistalled the audio input/output drivers, etc. - only to find that, to my surprise, the Lenovo D drive is completely empty! But it wasn't before!

What now? How did this happen - that the entire drive is wiped clean? Is there a way for me to get it 'back'?

Re: Lenovo D drive completely empty after update to Windows 8.1

Hi Hmmmic,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

As the D: drive is empty after updating to Windows 8.1 the only available option to check this issue is by performing “System Restore”. Below is the link to perform the same:

Do post us back if the issue still persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Re: Lenovo D drive completely empty after update to Windows 8.1

I have the same problem on a IdeaPad Flex 15.

I don't consider the suggestion to restore back to Window 8 to be at all realistic.  I'd more inclided just kill that partition and merge it back with the C drive.
