Same happen with my lenovo G40-45 DID!! This afternoon i just received a brand new seal TEAM memory 4GB PC-12800/1600 configuration 11-11-11-28.
1. Trying to use with 4+2 memory: Team (slot 1) + Hynix 2Gb = failed. Turn on blank screen but the led power/cpu did light on.
2. Trying to use with 2+4 memory: Hynix 2Gb (slot 1) + Team = failed. Turn on blank screen but the led power/cpu did light on.
3. Trying single Team memory on slot 1 / slot 2 = failed. Turn on blank screen but the led power/cpu did light on.
4. Back to original configuration memory i got from this laptop (samsung 2gb - i buy 100% new lenovo g40-45did!) + 2gb hynix = Laptop normal, not problem at all. Both are pc-12800 ddr3l @2gb.
I'm using the latest bios from lenovo support website since few months ago, no problem at all using this laptop. But why it can't use Team memory DDR3L PC-12800/1600 4GB!?
Someone please help us here! helo lenovo, show us some support wil ya!

Problem solved. I returned the memory ram and received new one and it works! So the problem is not on the laptop but on the memory it self which the first one i received is surely had defect.
It seems team memory ddr3l 12800 had low quality control before the factory released it to the market. I also have found same user in other forum had this problem they got defect memory.
So my suggest is if you are sure had this same problem, just returned the memory to the distributor and ask for exchange new memory same type same brand. I got this new memory which released on week 25/2016 (july) and it just work on my lenovo g40-45 amd a6 6310.
Btw if u instal memory make sure u plug in the biggest memory capacity on the first slot first this is a must thing to do!
