Lenovo G50‑45 80E3 not charging?

I left it charging overnight because the battery was dead but it didn't charge at all. The only way I can use it is by leaving it connected to the charger. There's an orange light that keeps on blinking near the battery symbol. Any help would be appreciated.

can u tell me how much percentage is it getting charged?

is it 50% or 60% or else?


check whether it is in 'conservation mode' then change it other 'power saving or balanced or high performance mode'

because conservation mode will allow u to only upto 50% of charging only and will not charge further.

so open 'lenovo energy manager' and change it another mode.

You can also start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 15 seconds.

I have the same issue and flushing the static does not work.

This is happening aftef windows 10  creators update.

Any other idea to fix the issue is very welcome.


It is sad,but seems this model fails after two years of use...

Uninstall the Lenovo Energy Manager (if installed). Download the newest version available, install it and then reboot the system.

Post back with results.
