Lenovo G50-70 Keyboard broken?

I have a Lenovo G50-70 and all of a sudden it stopped working functionally. It keeps typing the letter "Q" and this makes it impossible to use the touchpad. I have tried to clean the remove the buttons, but nothings seems to help.

Anyone had a similar problem? What can be done?

Re: Lenovo G50-70 Keyboard broken?

Hi Innvah,

It seems like the keyboard is shorted and needs to be replaced. If the system is still under warranty please get in touch with Lenovo Warranty Support and have the unit serviced.
You can use this link to check the contact information in your region :  https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/supportphonelist

Re: Lenovo G50-70 Keyboard broken?

Hi there, Innvah          -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

In additon to Jamdy, you can start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 15 seconds.

Check the keyboard for dust particles. Try to re-seat the keyboard at once to see if issue persist or not.

Update us how it goes.
