Hello guys, I have this Lenovo G50-70 20351 i7 4th Gen. I want to upgrade my ram (4GB DDR3 1600MHz) to 16 GB. Does G50-70 20351 supports DDR4? Or should I stick on DDR3L RAM?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Platform specification for your model:
16GB max / PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L, non-parity, dual-channel capable, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets
DDR4 would not fit on the slot if you notice the slot pin difference and do not support DDR4.
You can use DDR3L 2 x 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L to maximize it to 16GB similar to this discussion.
OEM recommended ram listed in the hardware manual here (page item12 page 8).
Hope this helps answer your query.

Usually, faster RAM is fine, but it will not speed up the system. I always suggest that people who are buying RAM that does not have a Lenovo FRU sticker should check the seller's return policy. Most RAM is compatible, but there are always reports of incompatibility.

Bus architecture : 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-12800S) PCI Express bus DMI (page 27).
No OEM 2133MHz RAM provided on the hardware manual too so we can't vouch for functionality.
If not an OEM ram then at least get it close to the specifications as much as you can:
PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L, non-parity, dual-channel capable, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets
It is worth a try if you have a spare so we can explore such option too but not to buy one without refund/exchange plans.
