Lenovo G50-70 RAM upgrade

Hello,

I have Lenovo G50-70 with these parameters:

Model: 20351

CPU: Intel Core i3-4005U

Mainboard: Lancer 5A2 SDK0F82993WIN

RAM: SKhynix 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-13-B4 DDR3 1,35V

I would like to know maximum capacity and speed of RAM in each slot and which parameters I should check when I will buy another RAM.

Thanks,

Sam

Re: Lenovo G50-70 RAM upgrade

If I want 12 GB RAM, is it needed to buy new 4 and 8 GB RAM or just to insert 8 GB RAM to empty slot and keep recent 4 GB?

Re: Lenovo G50-70 RAM upgrade

Always better to purchase two identical sticks of RAM to maximize performance, and also to guarantee that it will work.

If you need 12gb it would be better to get the matching 8gb sticks to upgrade your notebook. More memory is always a good thing.
