Lenovo G50-70 not starting

2017-08-17, 16:09 PM

My Lenovo G50-70 laptop is not switching on. On pressing the power button only the two LEDs indicating the Power and Charging are glowing but the laptop isn't starting. I have tried taking out the battery and reinstalling it but with no use.

Hi Rony,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with  No Power on your Ideapad G50-70.

Please perform the power drain.

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Unplug the computer from the wall socket.
  3. If the battery is removable, Remove the battery and hold the Power button down for 15 seconds.
  4. If the battery is non-removable, while the computer is ON, hold the power button down and wait for the computer to shut down and still hold the power button down for another 15 seconds.
  5. Turn the computer ON and check

hope the above information helps.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,

Rameez

Hi Rony,

Thank you for the reply!

Can you check with removing the CMOS battery once, if you are unable to perform this step I suggest you to visit nearby Lenovo authorized service center and get it checked.

Here’s the link for the hardware manual for your unit to reseat the CMOS battery.

To locate a nearest service center please click on this link

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,

Rameez
