Lenovo G50-80 (80E5) Upgrade HD to FHD

2018-09-18, 20:46 PM

Hey everyone,

I'm about to buy a replacement screen for my laptop since it just broke and I was wondering why not upgrade it to FHD.

I was looking at other topics and a lot said that they were successful.

The screen I'm looking at has the same 30 pin connector, but I was wondering if there was anything else that could an issue.

This is the screen: https://www.amazon.ca/Lenovo-G50-80-Replacement-Screen-Laptop/dp/B01BN1NJ70

My laptop comes with the HD 1366x768 screen.

Thanks

Hi 7106942,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I'm not sure if this is the forum thread that you're referring to when you've mentioned that you're looking on other topics check the link below. Based on that forum thread one user named lennew was successfully upgraded his LCD screen to an FHD type. It would be best if you can get the exact display that he gets so you won't encounter any issues.
