Lenovo G50 Cant access BIOS.

Hey Guys,

I have an issue with my BIOS,

I used to be able to access my BIOS no problem, but I recently went into it to try and change the boot order so I could boot from a USB drive, anyway I figured it out, but now when I try get back into my BIOS to change the boot order back, I'm met with a black screen and a white line in the top left corner and it just stays there, nothing happens!

Any ideas on what might be causing this or any soloutions?

All help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance!

Re: Lenovo G50 Cant access BIOS.

Hi OnionJuice,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Did you install another operating system before this occured?

Take time to review the hardware manual here.

You can try to turn off the machine and unplug the ac charger.

Remove the battery and harddrive and press the power button down for 15 seconds, release and press down for another 15 seconds to power drain.

Connect the ac charger and then use the novo button to power on.

Novo menu should appear for the BIOS settings.

Update us how it goes.

Regards
