Yes, this is also compatible and listed as Lenovo part number 11201300 (DDR3L 1600 4GB, HMT451S6AFR8A-PB 4GB DDR3L
1600) but is only 4GB. If you want to upgrade to 8GB, then just get another of this or even the Kingston but first choice is the same Hynix.
Max supported ram for the model is 16GB so 2 pieces of your first choice (Hynix 8GB) would work. 8GB is a sweet spot for basic computing need so if you are not into video editing apps and the likes, then maximum 8GB may be enough. Check how much ram you really need to avoid overspending.

Thanks. I am a computer science student. So I use Intellij idea or any IDE + a browser + an acrobat reader + MS Word or any app,, all in parallel. What do you think can be a sufficient room for such needs?
Actually the first one will require shipping frmo outside UK and hence extra charges so I was looking on amazon.co.uk from which i found the other two links.
Is the Kingston 4gb i shared also compatible?

Intellij idea recommended system requirement is 4GB so you would have more ram (other 4GB) to cover some browsers and readers. It would depend on how heavy you are to use it so it needs to be compared to how much other students and professors have been usingin your school as baseline.
Economics wise, total of 8GB (adding 4GB) is the cheapest option and you just need to regulate your resources depending on the load. The laptop model is also an entry level so spending to much on it for a DDR3L is not future proof as most modern machine are now on DDR4. The Kingston should also work ok.

Would you please tell what is better to use with my current SK Hynix RAM? Is it fine to use Kingston or any other brand or should i go for SK Hynix.
Also, what is difference between folowing versions of Kingtson 4gb memories
are both these compatible?

We can only guarantee those listed on OEM parts (item 16 page 86) of the hardware manual since they are certified and tested for the machine. This however do not limit users to choose as long as we stay close to the OEM specifications.
One in particular and often a cause of incompatibility with DDR3 is choosing a non low voltage ram. G500 prefers 1.35V low voltage memory.
These two are the basically the same (1.35 volts):
Do not get this last one (NOT low voltage, it has 1.5V):
G500 maybe older models but upgrading the ram and SSD storage would surely boost its performance. Further upgrades may no longer be economically future proof so best to give it a thought for later.
