Lenovo G500: unknown device

Hello,

 

i have new g500, win7 64 , and have problem with unknown device in device manager.

can u help me pls.

properties say  " root \ lenovoVhid ".

Hi Preko.

 

I assume device manager showing a driver missing, If so right click it then click properties then update driver tab.

 

You may want to visit lenovo`s website & update all drivers for your laptop.

 

Also make sure you have the latest version of Lenovo soloution center, The latest version number is 2.3.002.

 

Once you have done this re-run the hardware scan, Hopefully this will solve your problem.

I think, the cause of the problem is the missing Lenovo Energy management driver.

 

I'm using a G700 and there was a similar problem which could be resolved by the Lenovo Energy Management driver from Typ G500

i had the same problem. i have uninstalled the Lenovo Energy Management tool and replaced it with this version:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/emw7034.exe

 

i hope it works for you too!
