Re: Lenovo G505 usb 3.0 ports not working Win7

hi Zhenisbekd,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

It could be one of the two Devices Lenovo used to include.

Just to make sure of this,

Get the Hardware ID under of the USB under Device Manager

and paste it back here.

Best Regards

Solid Cruver

Re: Lenovo G505 usb 3.0 ports not working Win7

Good evening.

I downloaded and executed these files.

First file (AMD USB 3.0 hub and host controller driver ) finished sucessfully. But nothing changed. I tried again to update USB driver and run search of it in my notebook in C: drive, but the system eventually said - could n't find driver.

Second file ( Camera Driver (AVC, Bison, Chicony, Lite-On)said that there is nothing to update.

Both devices still are not active.

Please help.

Best regards,

Zhenisbek

Re: Lenovo G505 USB 3.0 ports not working Win7

Hi,

Can you try this

The Device You're missing drivers for (PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7814&SUBSYS_380217AA&REV_01) is definitely for AMD USB 3.0, this one's off from AMD WEbsite

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx#2

download the AMD Chipset Drivers see if that'll work.

Have you installed the energy management?

If not please install this as well, I'm thinking this is what the other device is for.

Lenovo Energy Management
emw7034.exe
21.4MB

Re: Lenovo G505 USB 3.0 ports not working Win7

Good evening.

I run both files.

The first one finished succesfully. Nothing changed.

Than i run searching of drivers in c: drive. The system said that it found the driver for the device but there was problem with installing of it. The system couldn't find the file. I was recommended to apply to the web site of producer. Smiley Sad

The second file said that new version of it is already installed.

Best regards,

Re: Lenovo G505 USB 3.0 ports not working Win7

Hi,

Smiley Sad

This is the last driver I think might be compatible

AMD Chipset and VGA Driver
acpvga118w7.exe
216MB

If this still won't work

We will have to wait for Lenovo to Release the 7 version for this I think the Driver for this are native to Windows 8 that's why there's no win 7 link for it.

Thanks

Solid Cruver

Re: Lenovo G505 usb 3.0 ports not working Win7

Hi,  Solid_Cruver,   I just put a Windows 7 x64 on my new Lenovo G505 laptop, and had the same problems Zhenisbekd had, with the two USB 2.0 ports on the left side not working at all.

I did exactly as you recommeded, and the last step you recommended, the file acpvga118w7.exe did the trick; now all my USB works.  Thank you VERY much, cause I was pretty much ready to return it.  It's a really good PC for the buck...

Anyway, I'm down to two errors in the Device Manager now.  Ethernet controller and an Unknown Device.

The Hardware ID of the Unknown Device is:

ACPI\VPC2004  (line 1)

"VPC2004  (line 2)

Do you have any idea about the?

Any help would be much oblidged,

Chili_Pepper
