Lenovo G505s not starting

Hi there.

 

I've posted a couple of times before about my G505s not starting.

 

I eventually managed to get it started and have used it for the last two weeks. When I've finished I've been using the sleep mode and it's started everytime from sleep.

 

It failed again after using shutdown and so I decided to remove and clean the fan and re-apply the thermal paste as someone had suggested.

 

I've done that and am now back to square one as it won't now start.

 

I'd appreciate any suggestions to try to sort out this problem.

After spending 4/5 trying to start the laptop I gave up and went to bed!!!

 

This morning I opened the lid - pressed the recovery button and it started almost immediately??????

 

I'm now scared to shutdown as it may not start again.

 

I've checked the temperatures and they are around 35/36 which I assume is ok.

 

Do you have any idea why I'm having this problem?

 

I've run all the scans through the Lenovo Solutions Centre and they all come back as ok.

 

I've also used a 16gb memory stick to download the recovery programme.

Lenovo G505s Failed AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here we are again.

 

I've done everything suggested as possible solutions for the laptop problem of not restarting after shutdown.

 

I've cleaned the fan, re-applied thermal paste and run all the tests that are available on the Lenovo Solution Centre.

 

I've checked the temperatures and they are around the 35/39 mark.

 

It's run for several days with just putting it into sleep mode. Finally took the plunge last night and went to shutdown, and, yes, you've guessed it won't start again.

 

Why oh why should this happen??????

 

I'm now at the point of giving up but I thought I'd post this one more time to see if anyone has any more idea's.

 

Really grateful for ANY response.
