Lenovo G510 - BIOS recovery

Right after re-installing Windows 8 on a Lenovo G510, I updated the BIOS to version 79CN50WW (V3.09) with the file which is available on this website. Unfortunately, the update crashed right in the middle of the process and leaves me with a broken BIOS. After booting the notebook, I get the following messages:

  1. lenovo logo
  2. "EFI Nentwork 0 for IPv4 (F8-A9-63-33-28-09)" with an [OK]-Button. If I hit OK, I'll get...
  3. "No bootable device -- Please restart system"

If I restart the system, I'll see the following messages:

  1. lenovo logo
  2. "EFI Nentwork 0 for IPv4 (F8-A9-63-33-28-09)" with an [OK]-Button. If I hit OK, I'll get...
  3. "Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed.
Insert Recovery Media and Hit any key
Then Select 'Boot Manager' to choose a new Boot Device or to Boot Recovery Media"

If I hit [OK] again, the Boot Manager shows up with a list which has two entries which are:

  • EFI Network 0 for IPv4 (F8-A9-63-33-28-09)
  • EFI Network 0 for IPv6 (F8-A9-63-33-28-09)

Whatever option I choose from these both, nothing changes.

How can I recover the (previous) BIOS or get the notebook to work again properly?
