Hello, I have an issue with my g510 20238
CPU i7-4700MQ is stuck at 0.77GHz when notebook is charging.
This is not a floating bug. It reprodeces every time.
I have Win10 and latest bios - 79CN50WW(v3.09)
The behavior was the same for bios v3.07
I saw thread about same issue for z510, but there is 41 pages and resolution is unclear.
I have checked cpuid report txt, but for me memory value is the same when throttled and when not:
MSR 0x00000199 0x00000000 0x00001800
Can somebody tell me the solution? Thank you.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
There also seems to be two different posible solutions, one is for a past version of the unit, but it could potentially work.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!

Removing DVD didn`t help me, and I didn't found >90W power adapter. So I just give notebook to local Lenovo Service Center for diagnostic. I will post the result here when they give it back to me.

I found a solution to fix my problem. Software "ThrottleStop" has ability to disable "BD PROCHOT" feature.
"BD PROCHOT" is a feature which decrease multiplyer if some laptops component tempereture is to high. I dont know why it was triggered, all temperetures was in normal range. But finally it works good for me.
P.S. local official Lenovo Service Center didn`t help me. They took my laptop for a 3 month (from May 20 till August 15) and told me "try to replace CPU, this one is not compatible with your laptop"
