do you see windows loading screen?

try to set default settings for bios and/or check compatibility mode for ahci/ide.

by the way, did you read readme file before flashing bios? did it go well? do you have 32 or 64 bit windows 7?

Lenovo laptop G560 Instaling XP

2011-03-18, 1:45 AM

Hello. I recently bought a new lenovo laptop. In its original package it had windows 7 drivers, but i formated the pc and installed XP. i downloaded most of the drivers off the net except for the audio one. For some reason it doesn't work at all. It keeps beeping. I think i found the right driver on the lenovo site for xp but for some reason it tells me:

"Driver installation failed: could not find the media device for this driver"

Can anyone help me out please?

I installed net framwork 3.5... and that's not it.

Try installing THIS update first.

Post if it works or not.

Re: Lenovo laptop G560 Installing XP

2011-07-19, 7:04 AM

Hello

I have the same problem with the audio device. I have xp sp2 installed on the lenovo 560.

I took all the steps by installing osdc01us from the link above. Also I have installed kb888111. And I have the latest drivers from the lenovo site, but in device manager I don't have the audio device with the  "?". I don't have it all. When I try to add new hardware and have disk the .inf file does not contain any information regarding an audio device so what is to be done ?

Thanks in advance.

if the driver can not be installed properly, please firstly install .net framework 3.5 and above. then try to install the driver again. .net framework can be download from microsoft freely.
