Re: Lenovo G565 upgrade to 4GB RAM issue

it could be a faulty RAM-module, or slot.

can you remove the original 2 GB-module, and just use the new one you want to use for the upgrade?

let me know what it does then,

does the laptop(either CPU or motherboard) support 4 GB?

just checked, and it should work, or at least, the laptop supports 4 GB.

edit: added missing question and a missing word

Re: Lenovo G565 upgrade to 4GB RAM issue

it's like in this link: http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/Lenovo-memory/IdeaPad/IdeaPad+G565-upgrades.html

Yes my laptop support up to 8GB RAM

------------

I tryied to remove the older ram plate and replace with the newer one but it gave a bluescreen...any other option?

Re: Lenovo G565 upgrade to 4GB RAM issue

it still could be the slot,

but i think it's faulty memory,

you should contact the shop where you bought it, or lenovo,

I hope they offer you a new 1(warranty) but i don't know
