2017-07-05, 5:55 AM

I Hibernated my g570 having  32 bit win 7 like i do a lot of times. Now the pc won't start. What happens is Lenovo screen>blank screen>lenovo screen and so on. Can't load to safe mode. If I try pressing F8 or any other key for that matter, it just starts beeping. Tried resetting bios settings. Tried reinserting ram and hdd. Basically everything i could find on the forum and still it isnt working. I really need my pc and the projects inside it. Please suggest ways to fix it.

Hi Shivam22,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You can remove the hard drive and slave it on another laptop or hard drive enclosure to perform your needed backup as I believe should be your initial step and protect your data.

Try running a bootable diagnostics to test the hardware integrity. This would isolate probable boot or hard drive issue as BIOS seems to work fine.

Running the machine on a different hard drive or USB live image can also help.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Hi there Spidey101 :)

Thank you so much for your reply. Actually i don't happen to have another pc in reach right now so I can't do all this. Lately I've been googling about how to create a bootable usb through Android but none seems to work. If I'm not able to create a bootable using  Android, I'll have to wait for like half a months until my schook reopens and I'll be able to borrow a laptop from one of my friends. I've been trying to make a bootable usb of puppy linux using my android. I just extracted the iso into a usb but it doesn't seem to work. The pc simply says 'usb without operating system. Remove usb to reboot'. So I guess it won't work that way. Can you please  suggest a way so I can burn an iso image to a usb using Android? Thanks.

Edit: And yea before it all happened, I also had a win 10 in my pc that i had dual booted long ago. Is there any way i can take advantage of the fact?

Hi Shivam22

I would rather that you invest your time getting your data from your harddrive first before any attempts are made.

This would likewise allow you to test your harddrive if still functional and perhaps run a test after the data backup.

About burning iso image in a USB device, as searching would have also suggested ways, you can also start a topic at our Android developer's category for options.

You can try the other boot image is still functional (as long as the issue is just due to software and not the device itself)

Still, getting your files should be your priority at the moment on my personal view.

Regards

Hi spidey101

Sorry for such a late response but i wasn't able to do anything because of not having another pc in my reach. Now there has been a considerable improvement. I made a Puppy linux live usb using my friend's pc and booted. Everything went perfect. I was also able to access all the hdd and it's all totally fine. Also, after i moved the windows installation folder to another directory, and then back, now I can access my dualbooted Win 10! It works without any problem. And the win 7, it now boots to the 'Starting windows" screen before flashing a blue screen reading "A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER.
IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE SEEN THIS ERROR SCREEN RESTART YOUR
COMPUTER. IF THIS SCREEN APPEARS AGAIN FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
CHECK FOR VIRUSES ON YOUR COMPUTER. REMOVE ANY NEWLY INSTALLED HARD DRIVES OR HARD DRIVE CONTROLLERS. CHECK YOUR HARD DRIVE TO MAKES SURE IT IS PROPERLY CONFIGURED AND TERMINATED. RUN CHKDISK /F TO CHECK FOR HARDDRIVE CORRUPTION, AND THEN RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF7B6D528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0X00000000) " for a fraction of a second and restarting. And then continues in a bootloop. Now what should I do? My files and everything is safe. There must be problems only with the windows installation? Can I repair the windows and be able to boot it perfectly without having to lose my installed apps? Thanks :)

Edit: I can't boot into safe mode. The same thing happens in that case too. Tried system repair, restore and everything. Nothing happens. While win 10 works perfectly, win 7 not booting. Also, both the OSes are in two different partitions obviously.

Hi Shivam22

Greetings.

You may use a Windows 7 installer media as a repair tool.

Booting from it and then running repair to the current image may be an alternate than clean installing it.

Running Lenovo diagnostics while booted in Win10 can check the hardware integrity of the devices especially the hard drive.

Regards

Hi Spidey101

Okay, so shall I use win 7 installer to repair my installation? Will I lose any installed programs? Thanks.

Hi Shivam22

Greetings.

Booting from the installer image, instead of install, choose the Repair option.

Since there is a backup, this would be worth a try with expectation of keeping installed programs and just to proceed with the repairing the Windows 7 system files.

Regards
