Lenovo G580 Type 2189 buy i7 processor

2017-12-19, 7:58 AM

Please recommend some websites where I can buy i7 processor for Lenovo G580.

The recommended model as per the manual is Intel Core i7-3612QM, which looks like its manufacturing has been discontinued by Intel.

I have checked Ali Express and they have all in used condition.

If there are any new processor which will support my laptop, then please do let me know.

Thanks in Advance

That laptop only supported 3rd gen Intel processors, and I doubt you will find a new i7 3612QM anywhere, so you are probably stuck with looking for a good used one if you are looking to upgrade.

Best of luck,

I saw i7-3612QM on ebay and Ali Express, and the price comes around $180-$190 on both the websites

But on Ali Express all the products show as Used, and on ebay they show as in new condition.

I'm really confused, which website should I trust.

I dont want to end up with used non-working product

Yeah, I saw them listed as "new condition" or "refurbished" by some sellers as well, but they also were used CPU's taken from laptops with broken screens etc. and were not new CPUs

The best recommendation I could give you is talk to the seller, and make sure that they are both reputable and can guarantee (warranty) that the CPU will work.    I did see one retailer in Punjub (Bathinda) selling one for 11,986.00 with free shipping, so you might check other sources closer to home as it may give you better recourse should you run into any problems.

Best of luck,
