Lenovo G700 black screen

2013-09-10, 6:41 AM

It is brand new G700. After installing Win 7 works perfectly one day. Then I have instaled war of tanks, trying to play and screen went black. I have by pass it with another monitor to see if laptop work and it does wothout any problem.

I also shut it down, remove battery, unplugged electricity, push power button for 1 min (according to forum tips) and wait one min, connect again however no luck, still black. It is not completely black, e.g I can hardly see mouse pointer just enough to turn computer off.

Thanks for reply.

Welcome in Lenovo forums

There is an application called Lenovo Energy Management should be reinstalled on your machine:-

Please use the below link to download it

Link : http://support.lenovo.com/en_EG/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS035251

Also please try to reinstall the Graphic card driver

Please let me know

Hi SEAlaa

just to confirm your comment.

Are you saying that G700 works just with WIN8 OS? or you are saying that energy management works just with WIN8?

Many thanks, Roland

Try uninstalling the game and restore to the day you have win 7 working perfectly. Note: Since you are using Win 7 you cant install the EM program from the site since it is for Win 8 only.

Hi,

sorry, also restore does not help. I think LCD screen has a major fault, it is constantly black (also during win start up).

Thanks for efforts and help.

Regards, Roland

Dear SEAIaa,
why are you telling that this model is only compatible with Win8?
The model is sold and compatibel with DOS
Furthermore the model is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 - everyone can find drivers on the official support site forn Win7,8,8.1.
Nevertheless there are a lot of unsolved problems with this machine and my impression is, that Lenovo does not have a Quality Assurance System.
