Lenovo g500 don't turn on after breake sleep mode

Hi. Yesterday I try to wake up my laptop but I can't - laptop running but there was a black screen. So I push the power button for 5 seconds to turn off the laptop, when I trying turn him on then nothing happens - power on indicator lights for 5 seconds but laptop dont start. I try remove AC, bateries, bios batteries, ram, hdd, dvd, but nothing helps. I heard about reseting - remove AC and baterie then push power button for 30s - but this also don't help. 

 

Please help me witch this, how to fix this or give me some clues what is wrong in mine laptop.

Welcome to the Forums Inelukis! 

 

It sounds like the GPU is failing to wake. Are you up-to-date with your Intel drivers? First check Lenovo's latest, and if that doesn't work, try the Intel drivers using the Intel Update Utility:

To Get the correct Graphics Driver from Intel Support:

  1. Right-click mouse on screen background and select Graphic Properties to bring up Intel HD Graphics Control Panel.

    2. Click on Options and Support. Then on the left-hand panel click on Support.

    3. Click on Download latest Intel Graphics Driver.

    4. On the Welcome to Support page, Click on Download Drivers and Software.

    5. Click on automatically update your drivers. This will download Intel's Update Utility.

    6. After downloading the Utility, run it to scan your PC and it will determine which drivers have new versions available.  You then have the option of downloading the new drivers and installing them. Installing the new Graphics driver will solve the "Unable to wake from Sleep Problem."

 

Update us how it goes.

Thanks for quick answer but I can't turn on the laptop so i can't update any drivers.

Try taking out the yellow CMOS battery cell for like 5 minutes, then replug it back. Alternatively, take off your battery and ac power, and press the on/off button 10 times, in 30 seconds succession. 

Do you still have warranty left? If you do, then you should check whether you are eligible for warranty cover. Please contact the authorised Lenovo service center for hardware assistance.

 

i fixed it with "hard reset" while it is charging press and hold power button untill the battery led is off , then immediately pull the cable and release the power button and try to power it on again , it should work.

 

Update us how it goes.

Thanks for advices.

 

I taking out CMOS battery for 10 minutes a then I replug it back - nothing changes.

 

I taking out ac adapter, battery and CMOS battery for 10 minutes a then I replug it back - nothing changes.

 

I taking out ac adapter and battery then pressed on/off button 10 times in 30 seconds - nothing happens.

 

I can't do "hard reset", while it is charging I presed and hold power button but the battery led is no swiching off (I wait more then 2 minutes).

 

All the times I have only 5 seconds power led on.

 

Warranty end couple months ago so if You have anything more things to try or some ideas I will be very thankfull.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community Inelukis !

 

One additional thing to try....... remove the main battery and the CMOS battery.  Then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.  This will insure that any residual electrical charge is drained from the motherboard and that the CMOS is cleared.  Otherwise just removing the battery for 10 minutes may not discharge it on its own.  Then re-install the batteries and see if the computer will now boot.

Thanks again for You advices Smiley Happy I try them all over and over but nothing happens, so I left laptop for night witch all power sorces unpluget. Today morning a miracle - machine starts!! Windows don't run - only blue screen "wachdog violation" so I install fresh Windows10 and first thing Intel latest drivers. 

 

Then I have a new problem - laptop dont turning off completly and freezes when restarting. But when I changed bios settings its all ok Smiley Happy

 

Now working like the old times, so again big thanks for helping Smiley Happy
