Lenovo g500 upgrading graphics card

Hi there

I am a new forum member and have recently purchased a G500 from currys

it has a pentium 2020M processor , 6GB of ram and an intel graphics chip

ran dxdiag on the laptopn using directx11 and says 'DAC internal' not sure what that means

Reason i am posting is i want to run 'Premiere Elements 12' from Adobe to do video editing but dont know

if the laptop is powerful enough - if not is there an option to upgrade the Graphics card on this laptop?

By the way I have just registered on the forum and there is no option for me to do a new post

Re: Lenovo g500 upgrading graphics card

hi nickkinn,

Thanks for Posting!

According to this REquirements

Your system should support it

as per main requirements

PROC   supports SSE4x

Audio     DX11 AUDIO

Graphics and RAM DX11 and supports the resolution Required 6GB of RAM is more than the minimum requirements

DAC Internal

This is the Convertion of your systems DIGITAL and Analog signals,

Since you PC support INTEL Processor normally it has the DAC internal to it and reason why your system has two different output,  an HDMI which is Digital and VGA which is analog

Hope this helps
