Lenovo g505 unresponsive touchpad after reboot

My Lenovo touchpad is unresponsive after an update by avast that requires a reboot. I have no way to log in at this point. Is there a way around this? How do I fix it?

Re: Lenovo g505 unresponsive touchpad after reboot

Hi Bretibet,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with touchpad not working when the system is rebooted in your Lenovo G505 laptop.

As you have mentioned that when the avast antivirus updated, the touchpad not working, try to uninstall the antivirus and check for the issue as this might due to the antivirus.

If still the same issue try update the touchpad drivers and check for the issue. Also try with other antivirus and check for the issue.

Click here for the drivers if the OS is windows 7(32 and 64bit).

Click here for the drivers if the OS is windows 8(64 bit).

Click here for the drivers if the OS is windows 8.1(32 and 64 bit).

Hope this helps! Do post us back for further queries.

Best regards,
