Is anyone else having issues after major Microsft updates with Headphones and microphone. I have hardware
updates turned yet after the update headphones and mic didn't work. I had to revert back to driver 22.214.171.124 dated
5/13/2015 to get things to work. Other drivers the volume was real low. What are you guys using. The windows update
was the 1607 of the 9/26/2016. It does this everytime there is a big update. I now also don't have the equalizer sound

Hi cwness ,
As with all new release operating systems, such things may happen every update tuesday of every month.
Having a recovery image on a thumb drive is helpful along with a folder containing original drivers and last good working drivers each labelled by dates.
You can also manually set drivers update like this which by experience would not guarantee 100% but would still help specially with Win10. Others goes to uninstalling and hiding specific updates or setting network connection as metered / defer Windows Update (not for Win10Home) . Always create restore point before 2nd tuesday of the month even if it does create on its own.
Hope this help you have your own control with your laptop.

Thanks for the Reply. I hyave set the hardware to now windows up date but that doen't work. Twice now
I have had to unistall the sound drive rs to get the headphones to work. I have to use old drivers. Is conexstant
going to put a driver that works. I'm useing a driver from May of 2015. Also the Mic problem is in the Conexstant
HD where I am constantly having to unmute the Mic in the HD program. Shut it down and it's a flip of the coin
whether it will be muted when it is started again. This is my only computer that has ever done this. They might
do it once but the drivers fixed and it doesn't happen again.

On my Windows 10 computer , I just go back to the last system restore point I know that I don,t have problem and just disabled the Windows update service (Via Control Panel > Administrative Tools, you can access Services. In the Services window, scroll down to Windows Update and turn off the process. To turn it off, right-click on the process, click on Properties and select Disabled).
With an updated antivirus , I don't have any unexpected suprises from Microsoft (ex. optional update that suddenly was force as important). I only apply the update when everything is stable (with the bugs and fixes) and also with a good backup of my files.

Where are the new drivers for the Conexant HD audio. I can't seem to find them here and the Conexant site
doesn't have and said go to your Manufacture to get them. I went to downloads and it said there were none
for this device. That's hard to believe what if I need some drivers for a repair.

I have it working on old drivers but I have to go into control panel and smart audio everytime I start the machine
and umnute the Mic. It's been doing that since the Win 10 update. I went to your link and clicked on detect my
product and it said it couldn't. Went to downsloads and it redirected me to support Lenovo is not working.

Update today I went back to your link and the and found the the sound driver. Now here is what I don't understand.
The driver I'm using right now is version 126.96.36.199 dated 5/30/2015 the version they have that is date 9/20/2016 is
version 188.8.131.52_WHQ.... I checked all the drivers I have downloaded and all have different dates but are all version
184.108.40.206.and are the same size. Can someone explain this or are they all labeled version 220.127.116.11 and the date indicates the latest version? On restart this morning I had to unmute the Mic in Smart Audio in control panel to get the Mic working again..
