My new G510 came with 4 GB RAM, I want to upgrade on 8 GB RAM. Lenovo says, 16GB RAM is the upper limit.
But Lenovo says not, how to build in more RAM. I search for a build in instruction.

many thanks for your perfect help!
Because Lenovo for the G510 doesn´t spend a memory cover board at the bottom of the machine, I think they doesn´t see readily, when a customer changed memory. But after the one year warranty I don´t have disadvantages, when I myself upgrade memory. To have then the same type of memory, which is build in, it could be good, to buy it already today.
What do you mean?

But first of all, i want to know, what is the specifications of the 2GB DDR ram is not known to me.
I am able to see only ..its a 2GB DDR notthing else in sytem properties.

Based on my experience, and the advice I've received here, best not to try to match existing
ram, but buy a complete set of new ram and remove old ram. Crucial is the recommendation
I've received. I have an E430 with 4 GB. Went to a local store and bought another 4GB module
that they said was a match. Worked for a couple of days but then started crashing.
Will soon buy a a 16 GB crucial set.
