My G560 shuts down right after power on

 The G560 shuts down right after power on. The fans sound for a few seconds, then quiet. The battery LED keeps it self on. The power LED just as the fans, turns on the powers down. Nothing on the display.

I've tried remove battery and power and press the power button many times as some posts online suggest. 

Have disconnected everything I can removing the bottom cover and de keyboard... Still the same. This machine has been around since 2010, so no warranty. And I cannot buy a replacement SysBoard for $145. Any suggesyion before disposing?

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

Herewith is the hardware manual that you can use as reference . 

Follow the Power Checkout guide page 21. Check on the dc port and cables , use 1 ram at a time to try on each slot , Clean up the fan and reapply thermal paste as needed , test without harddrive and battery.

 

If the motherboard is the point of failure , all other parts like LCD , processors , heatsink, RAM , battery , ac-adapter ,harddrive and even the plastic chassis would find a good price for resale .
