Hello Spidey! Thank you so much for that information (and I’m sorry about the extreme delay in my reponse!). It looks like the easiest solution may be to just purchase a new start up disc for the computer, depending on the cost of course... I’m not even sure if this computer is worth all this hassle. My son is in the 8th grade and currently is only using it for YouTube, Discord and some other social media apps that he communicates with his friends on... and of course those building games like SIM City and ROBLOX; so nothing that needs too much speed, I wouldn’t think...


Anyway, I will now look for a way to purchase that start up disc and rest assured, I will be back in contact with you if I have any more questions. Thanks again!

To get the original OEM recovery media for US, you can call in  1-855-271-3878 Option 2 or have tech support transfer you to the software department.


You may also try to download the image from here using the 25 digit code on the COA sticker.
