Power Light and Battery Light flashing in orange color

2017-03-27, 18:47 PM

Hello everyone,

I am facing this problem from the past few days in my Lenovo G510. Whenever I plug in the charger for charging the laptop, both the power light and the battery light with orange color, starts flashing and the laptop stops charging.

The color of the battery light changes to orange, even if my laptop is nearly 50% charged.

Can't figure out, what is the problem? Any help will be appreciated!

Hi akKI2904 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Orange blinking status is indicative of sleep state but maybe also relates to a hardware issue.

Status LED indicator should change as battery charges (page 32) .

Try removing the battery and ac adapter cord to press the power button down for 12 seconds.

This should drain flea power and assures that the pc is off.

Connect the ac adapter without the battery , and check how is the power LED when turned on and off.

Place back the battery to compare as the battery may also getting bad.

Update us how it goes.
