I have a G850 and it recently stoped working; it will not boot at all and I have no lights when it is plugged into the wall.
I tore it apart and starting measuring the voltage, and I have power going to parts of the laptop, but not sure if they are correct.
On the backside of the power bplug I have 20.0 volts
On the plug for the power switch I have 3.2 volts between 2 of the pins...
I think the power board is ok, but not sure where to look next.

I would suggest,
1. Removing the battery and AC/Power
2. Now press the power button and keep holding it for atleast 30 seconds
3. Now only plug the laptop with AC power not battery and fire up the machine

I tried that suggestion, but it didn't work.
When I press the power button the fan isn't even turning on, so I think the motherboard isn't getting power....
Are there any troubleshooting tips for testing the motherboard?
