I bought my laptop, model G50-80, a few months ago. I started noticing an annoying noise coming from the fan, and it also works at high speed almost all the time, so I checked the temperature with some different softwares. The results showed that GPU temperature was 511 degrees celsius. I know that that's impossible, but I took it to the department store were I bought it.
After arguing for a while, they agreed to send the laptop to the lenovo technical service.
When the laptop came back, the proof of repair stated the following:
- Fault: constant. Laptop very hot. Components molten
- Components replaced: NBC LV MB EXO 15T DIS iG I7-5500U I, PLACA-DISPLAY,BAT (MEDRE2)
Because of that, I guess that I was right, and there was something wrong with the laptop.
When I turned it on again after the repair, the fault was still there, but it was even worst, as now also the CPU is almost all the time at high temperature (70-80 degrees Celsius).
I put a complaint at the department store, and the answer i got back was that I should go to the Lenovo technical service, cause they were not going to replace the laptop.
Please, I'd like to know how should I proceed as it is evident that the laptop is not OK and it is under warranty, though it has already been repaired and nothing has changed.

Hi TitaC ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
If you have 70-80 degrees Celsius with no heavy running applications and ambient temperature is not a factor then it is hot as heatsink and cooling assembly needs to be checked further aside from just replacing the systemboard.
You can call in technical support ( choose the region ) on your most convenient time.

Run full diagnostics to check other device integrity aside from the temperature software .

I followed your advice and sent the laptop to the tech support. The report of the repair states that an electric component was faulty, and that they have replaced: fan,placa-display,bat,etc. And that a complete test was made at the workshop.
But when I turn on the laptop, everything remains the same: the fan noise, the temperature indications...
I am completely dissapointed and I don't really know what to do next. What I really want is a new laptop as it seems that this one won't never be ok...

Hi TitaC ,
Thanks for getting back on our post , I would definitely suggest to call technical support back as soon as convenient on your end and inform them having very much the same problem eventhough report would say multiple parts was replaced.
Keep an open communication and inform them what would work best for you as a valued customer .
I am sure they would hear you out and provide you options to proceed further.
Again it would be you and lenovo tech that can find the best way to have it resolved to the best of both parties so express you best option as they would also offer theirs.
