Putting an SSD in the WWAN port on a Carbon X1 5th/6th generation

2019-05-12, 3:02 AM

I am looking at upgrading my daughters laptop.  It is a B575 type 1450.  Wondering if anyone had any luck on installing a mSATA drive into the mini PCI-e slot used for WWAN?  Not sure if the motherboard can be configured in bios to use it as a sata drive.  I might just have to update the slow 5400 sata drive with a SSD drive.  Would like to still keep the old HD for data.

Thanks for the help.
