Re: Slow Boot From USB SuperTalent Express DUO

yigit i cannot update BIOS because my version is LENOVO 29CN24WW(1.07), 4/22/2010:

I did not try to update after i saw the above explanation. They say i must refer to local service provider.

Why i just cannot download update? Who is my local service provider?

But this resource already has BIOS versions.

Is there a difference? What if i bought laptop in Israel i really need to refer to local service provider and not use above BIOS versions to flash?

Thanks.

Re: Slow Boot From USB SuperTalent Express DUO

flash v2.03 first, then flash the latest one. ( no need to ship it back to service if you can flash the bios update )

Re: Slow Boot From USB SuperTalent Express DUO

I read that version 2.15 bricks motherboard here on forums. This is very risky!

What is the assurance it won't happen with mine?

Re: Slow Boot From USB SuperTalent Express DUO

Lenovo service laboratory where i live? Well i live in Israel and that laboratory gets bad reviews. I really would not want to send my laptop there. Maybe if i could disassemble motherboard by myself then i would send them, but i don't know if warranty will be voided by doing this.

Is there a way to backup current BIOS? I know that bricked BIOS can be fixed with USB service flash drive but this does not always helps.

there are some ways to recovery bios by using usb if you break it. just makes sure you restart computer before flashing bios update and read the instructions carefully.
