If you have already installed the Touchpad Driver (for Windows 7 or Windows 8) and you don't see a Lenovo Pointing Device under Mice and other Pointing Devices on Device Manager, there might be a problem with the touchpad sensor chip.
What you could try is:
1. Shutdown the computer and unplug the battery and AC adapter
2. Hold the power button for 10secs & re-insert the AC adapter.
3. Boot into the BIOS by pressing F2, when you're in, press F9 to reset settings to factory default and press F10 to save the settings and exit BIOS.
4. Turn off the computer and press the One Key Recovery (OKR) button (this will load the OKR interface with the mouse enabled - test the mouse cursor if it's working)
If the problem persists, I recommend you contact Lenovo Technical support for service.
Hope this helps
