My laptop is b5070 and dual booted with ubuntu 17.10 and windows 8.1. I want to reinstall ubuntu. To do that so, I have to change settings in BIOS as legacy support. I made the change by entering bios settings by clicking F2 during boot. But after saving the changes and restarting, the changes are being discarded. At least , default settings are not being loaded.Even secure boot is not being disabled.
I tried reinserting BIOS battery. But no use, only time is getting back to default.
if i go to firmware settings using windoes advanced settings, it is showing error number: 800704d3
if i go to bios settings using ubuntu boot manager, it showing another error something like " unable to set EFI variable OsIdications "
the following screenshots must help you. Thanking you.
