Need WIFI upgrade for G50-70 Type 80 DY MTM: 80DY59442950

Hi guys!

 

Out of the desire to upgrade to the old Lenovo G50-70 Type 80 DY with Machine Type Model: 80DY59442950 I bought WISE TIGER AX210NGW WiFi Card. I mounted the wifi card in the pc and surprise, I have a black screen with the message "Unauthorized wireless network card is plugged in. Poweroff and remove it".

 

Do I have any hope of making it work?

 

Thanks in advance for your help.

Lenovo employs a BIOS whitelist of allowed parts to ensure compatibility. Here's a thread discussing that. Looking at your parts lookup page, there appears to be no alternatives listed. You might try Encompass.

 

I'm going to change your title to reflect the model in case another user has some experience.
